Spooktacular Decor: Bat Mobile
Year n te e
Step by Step:
1. This Bat mobile is not the kind driven by batman and robin! But a mobile with a twist! First you need to make your bats so switch on your laminator then open up a #4090 11’’ x 17’’ hot pocket and fill it with alcohol ink, as I said before it spreads so sprinkle and wait and add more if needs be. Once it’s dry sprinkle with glitter, close and laminate. Make one hot pocket up for each mobile you want. Switch off the machine. 2. Using a hand drawn shape or die cut, cut out some bats in different sizes from your laminated sheet. 3. Choose a piece of Cosmo Cricket Haunted paper and draw an 8’’ diameter circle on it. Put click blade #2804 deckle cut in your freestyle mouse and cut out the circle. 4. Hand draw a spiral within the circle with the lines roughly 1’’ apart. Using the pointer on the front of your freestyle mouse follow the spiral line and cut it out. Towards the middle the circles get too small for the mouse so you will have to switch to scissors to finish cutting the spiral. 5. Put a length of nylon thread through the small part of the spiral and hang it up. 6. Thread your bats onto nylon thread and then thread them on to your spiral, I found it easier to do this with the spiral hanging so I could space the bats out. 7. And that’s it! An easy peasy but effective mobile that looks great hanging anywhere, twisting and turning as people pass it. 8. I hope you have lots of moo-velous fun creating your spooky décor with your purple cows tools … and don’t forget to share them with us over at the pasture!
