"EFFECTIVENESS OF SCHEDULE IN TURNING ON

THE APPLIANCES IN REDUCING ELECTRICITY BILL"

Chapter 1

Intruduction
At these time we need to minimize the electric
comsumption ,because the lack of electric supply.
And also many pilino are safared. So my research state in
what way to reduce electric comsumption.
The simplest way to reduce electricity consumption is to
follow the mantra: “switch off when not in use”. Lights,
air conditioners and fans need not be left working when
you are not in the room. For televisions, the wider your
screen, the more electricity it consumes.
Unplug your appliances when they're not in use. ...
Buy appliances with a good energy rating. ...
Pick the right washing machine. ...
Choose an energy-efficient fridge. ...
Insulate your roof or ceiling. ...
Draught-proof. ...
Seal your chimney with a damper. ...

Research schedule

Appliances
1.refregarator
2.tv
3.stand fans
4.ceiling fan
5.radio
6.lights
7.rice cooker

Day 1 until day 15 schedule.

5:00-:00am
on refregarator until 9:00pm, and the rice cooker.
6:00-8:00am,turned on the radio.
8:00-10:00am turned on stand fan.
10:00am-1:00:pm turned on radio, rice cooker and stand
fan.
1:00-3:00pm turned steal on the radio and stand fand.
3:00-4:00pm turned on the rice cooker.
4:00-5:00pm steal on the rice cooker, then on the lights
5:00-9:00pm steal on the lights then stand fan and ceiling
fan.
9:00pm-4:00am one light on.

Research Objective

1. What is the level of consumption in the experimental group to the experimentation?

2. What is the level of consumption in the control group before to the experimentation?

3. What is the level of consumption in the experimental group after the experimentation?

4. What is the level of consumption in the control group after the experimentation?
5. Is there a significant difference between the results in the experimental group before the
experimentation?

6. Is there a significant difference between the results in the control group before and after
experimentation?

7. What is the mean loss of the number of consumption in the experimental group?

8. What is the mean loss of the number of consumption in the control group?

9. Is there a significant difference between the mean loss of the experimental group and control group?

Null Hypothesis

This research will use the 5% level of significance in validating the following statements of null
hypotheses.

1. These is no significant difference between the results in the experimental group and after the
experimentation.

2. These is no significant difference between the results in the control group before and after the
experimentation.

3. There is no significant difference between the mean loss of the experimental group and control group.

Significance of the study

This research is beneficial to the following beneficiaries:

Households with electrical appliances. The result of this study will become the basis of the household
owner to reduce their electrical consumption.

DANECO. The DANECO can use the results of this study to encourage the whole community in reducing
their electrical consumption and can design efficient intervention in reducing the electrical consumption.

Conceptual framework.
Figure 1 illustrates the conceptual paradigm of this study.
The independent

variables of this study are the intervention using the

digital interactive learning material.

Delimitation of the Study

The participants of this study at the house of keven Estrada, Sabangan, San Isidro, Davao del Norte , with
scheduling and the house of roilan Geoligao Mamangan, San Isidro, Davao del Norte, without scheduled.
The experimental group had their remedial sessions at the houses of Estrada while the control group had
their remedial sessions at the house of Geoligao

Furthermore, The performance of the experimental group was compared to the results of the houses
exposed to Peer-Mentoring Strategy.

Definition of term
This research study is and actuall studying of the Estrada
residents, the research is shows in ways to minimize the
electric consumption. And to make effective ways to
reduce electric consumption.

METHOD

This chapter presents the design used in conducting the

study, the research locale, the research subject, research
instrument, and the data gathering procedure as well as
the data analysis process to attain the research objectives
specified in this study.

Research Design

This study used the quasi – experimental design which is

a non – equivalent control group design (Fraenkel and
Wallen, 2007). This design hadtwo different groups of
houses; the experimental group and the control group.
Both houses were given the schedule in turning on the
appliances in the experimental group had Digital
Interactive learning material used in their remedial
sessions while

the control group had the Peer-Mentoring Strategy in

their remedial sessions. The respondents were intact
group of the house of Keven Estrada and Roilan Geoligao
in a naturally assembled setting at Sawata National High
School, Sto. Niño, San Isidro, Davao del Norte.

Research Locale

The study was conducted at the sabangan and

mamangan, San isidro , Davao del Norte. The houses was
allocated to the experimental group. While the control
group was assigned to the every morning at their
houses.

Data Analysis

To analyze the data collected, the following statistical

tools were used in the research:
Mean. This was used to determine the level of
performance of the experimental group and control
group in the results of their pretest and posttest as well
as the their level of improvement in the gain score.9
