Dear Congressman Dimaporo:

Greetings of Peace! We hope that this letter finds you well.

This is in reference to your letter dated 31 August 2018 requesting this Office to provide a
report on the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) efforts on enjoining the
Local Chief Executives to contribute in the restoration of Marawi City.

To recall, the President has directed the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council
(HUDCC) by virtue of Department Order No.09 amending Administrative Order No. 03 Section
1 to create an Inter-Agency Task Force for the Recovery and Rehabilitation of Marawi City.

Section 3, Paragraph D of Administrative Order No. 3 created the Sub-Committee on Security,


Peace and Order co-headed by this Department, and the Department of National Defense
(DND) which shall be responsible for the restoration and maintenance of peace and order and
continuity of public services of the city.

Thus, the DILG and DND oversees the implementation of the Proposed Project, Programs and
Activities (PPAs) on the Bangon Marawi Recovery and Rehabilitation Program (BMCRRP)
submitted by the Sub-Committee members such as the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ,
Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP), Bureau of Fire Protection
(BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Peace Process (BJMP),
National Youth Commission (NYC), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Province of Lanao Del Sur
(PLDS), DILG–Marawi City, DILG-Autonomous Region on Muslim Mindanao ( DILG-ARMM)and
Local Government Unit of Marawi City (LGU-Marawi).

Hence, attached herewith are the Accomplishment Report of DILG-Central Office apropos to
the on-going rehabilitation in Marawi City for your reference.
