Types of Maps

Globe – a 3-dimensional representation of the Earth.

Map – a flat representation of a location on Earth or the whole Earth.
Political Map – shows the borders of countries, states, or cities.
Physical Map – shows landforms.
Population Map - shows the population (number of people) of various places.
Road Map – shows major and minor roads in cities or towns.
Product Map – shows the natural resources and/or agricultural products of a specific area.
Weather Map – shows the weather patterns of a specific area.
