• Teaching approach: The lesson is based on the PPP procedure

(Harmer,2010).

• Materials and resources: photocopies (female- male – bingo cards) –

posters

 Pedagogical use of ICT in class: In this lesson, it won`t be used any ICT

• Seating arrangement: the classroom is not big but the group it is, so the

seating arrangement used by the course teacher is like the drawing. There

is one vertical row in each side and there are two rows in horizontal

position. According to the course teacher, she uses this type of seating due

to the behavior of some students and it is easier to control them. I think I

will use the same sitting arrangement due to the space. In the observation,

every student has a good visual of the board and the teacher.

• Assessment: what will be assessed and how: I’ll check that students

identify the family members through a game: bingo

ROUTINE: 1 MINUTE
PURPOSE: to start the lesson, get students into the mood for work,
establish a comfortable environment

I’ll get into the classroom and greet students (as they have already known

me): “Hello! How are you today?” EA: “Hello!”

Well, let`s start working!

WARM UP: 5 MINUTES

I will bring two headings: male and female with the sex sign/ drawing of a

boy and girl. These headings will be stuck on the board. I will show them

the name of the family members. I will ask to put them under the correct

heading.

Transition: “Very good kids!

PRESENTATION: 15 MINUTES

PURPOSE: To review the family members in a funny way

Due to the fact that it is the last class, I will take a bingo of the family

members (except for aunt- cousin and uncle). I will do several bingo cards,

but the idea will be to play in pairs, because in some point there will be the

same bingo cards. The idea is to play three rounds. I will make cards with

the name of the family members.

Transition: Excellent work children!


DEVELOPMENT: 25 MINUTES

ACTIVITY Nº 1: 10 MINUTES

I will give the students a snake word snake about the family members. I will

explain and do an example on the board in case they do not understand

the activity. Then we will check the activity orally and on the board.

ACTIVITY Nº 2: 15 MINUTES

We are going to make the poster about their families with the photo I have

asked the last class. I will bring some posters (Is the right word to the word

afiches?) in case the students forget to bring to the class.

CLOSURE: 3 MINUTES
I will ask to some students, to come to the front and present their families

to their classmates. They will point to a member of the family and will say:

this is my mother. Her name is.... I will show them an example showing

them a picture of my own family.

ENDING: 1 MINUTE

As the teacher doesn`t sing a goodbye song, I will say: Children, it`s time to

say goodbye. See you next class. Bye.
