Dade County Bands

The first competition of the season for the Dade County Marching Wolverines is Saturday, September
29th. We will be traveling to the Armuchee Invitational at Armuchee High School in Rome, Georgia.
Listed below is the address for the high school and the schedule for the day.

11:00 a.m. - Students report to DCHS.
11:15 a.m. - Leave DCHS
12:45 p.m. - Arrive at Armuchee H.S.
1:20 p.m - Unload equipment and dress.
2:10 pm. - Line up to go to the warm-up area.
3:20 p.m. - Performance
8:00 p.m. - Student leaders leave the stadium to change (return by 8:30)
9:00 p.m. - Awards Ceremony
10:00 p.m. - Leave Armuchee H.S.
11:30 p.m. (Approx. time) - Arrive back at DCHS

Important Notes and Items for Students
★ ALL students should wear the black 2018 marching band show shirt. (Band Aides should wear
the maroon shirt and blue jeans for the performance.)
★ Students should eat lunch BEFORE reporting to DCHS and bring snacks for the bus ride to
Armuchee. There will be no time to eat before our performance.
★ Students need to have at least $15 with them to be able to eat dinner. Food for dinner
will be purchased by students from the concession stand at the competition.
★ Students will change out of uniforms after their performance.
★ After the performance, students are to sit in the assigned area as a group!
★ Students are NOT to leave the stadium for any reason! Once you are in the stadium, you are
there until we leave as a group!
★ Be respectful and attentive while other bands are performing. They have put in just as much
work as you have. You expect respect when you’re on the field. Give to others what you
expect to receive!
★ During the awards ceremony, the band will be called to attention while our scores are
★ Students are ​NOT​ to storm the field after the awards ceremony.
