My name is Joyce Rachel Lister and I have been attending Southern Utah University for
two years now, I am going to major in Nursing with a Psychology Minor, I am anticipating
graduating spring of 2021.
Education

 I am currently attending my second year of college at Southern Utah University
 I completed my EDGE project by doing a Study Abroad to Ireland
As previously mentioned, for my EDGE project, which is a series of classes SUU
requires in order to graduate, I found a Study Abroad Project that interested me. I
planned out all the little details, including saving money so I could afford to travel. In
May of 2018 I traveled with the Psychology Department to Ireland. The things I learned
while there have greatly changed me. I learned what it is like to be in a foreign land with
a different culture. This has helped me in the work place to become more sympathetic
with those who travel through Utah and stop by our restaurant. It has also helped me
realize just how much goes on outside the United States that I was not aware of. It helped
me understand that I need to be more aware of people and events beyond my own circle
of familiarity.
