A. Description and Meaning “Alipin” of Shamrock (Original Version) was written to convey
the feelings of a man who’s trying to confess his feelings for the woman
he loves. The song explains how much he loves and how important this
particular person is. It says that anyone couldn’t be enough for him but
her. Although he can be “manhid” or numb at times which means that
he can’t openly show his affection towards her, the love he has for her
has no end.
B. Plot The song "Alipin" by Regine Velasquez is about someone who
is deeply fallen in love, trying to confess his/her hidden feelings for
his/her loved one. The songs explains how much he/she loves this
person to the point that he/she will do anything to make that person
happy, become a slave or servant in the name of love. Also the song
talks about how special that someone to him/her and how he/she
longing for that affection, for those warm embrace and especially the
attention. Sometimes he/she can be "manhid" or numb that could also
mean not showing any affection or feelings to that person, that's why
he/she sometimes compare their relationship as dogs and cats.
Wherein, they fight at simple things but in the end he/she is happy
being with that someone. However, it doesn't matter if circumstances
get rough, all he/she wants is to be with that person he/she truly love.

D. Character The singer of the "Alipin" song is Regine Velasquez. This song
was used as a sountrack of the movie entitled "Till I Met You" and the
main characters are Eddie Garcia as Señor Manuel, Robin Padilla as
Gabriel and Regine Velasquez as Luisa. Luisa is a woman who dreams
of marrying a rich, old man and to live a good life, in short, she is a
"gold-digger", Señor Manuel is an old and wealthy man and was
engaged to Luisa, and Gabriel is the person which Señor Manuel trusts
the most and he cannot be fooled by Luisa's prim-and-proper
demeanor but what starts as a rivalry soon turns into love as Gabriel
fell in love to Luisa. The song embodied the character of Gabriel
towards Luisa for he is inlove with her and cannot confess his feelings
because he treats Señor Manuel as her father and he don't want to
hurt him. With Gabriel's love for Luisa he will always be by her side and
is willing to be her servant.
