Se tinha a habilidade, mas não a possui mais, troca-se o can pelo could. Assim:
Eu podia andar de bicicleta = I could ride a bike.

Também usamos o can e o could para pedir algo:

Você pode me passar o sal? = Can you pass me the salt?
Você poderia me emprestar o seu livro? = Could you lend me your book?

 MAY, MIGHT

Assim como o can e o could, usamos o may para pedirmos algo (como
permissão):

Posso ir ao banheiro? = May I go to the bathroom?

Também utilizamos o may e o might para falarmos sobre possibilidades:

Ele pode estar atrasado. = He may be late.
Nós podemos chegar mais cedo. = We might arrive earlier.

 MUST

substituído pelo have to.
= I must be at school at 7 o
´clock.

weekends.

Will e Would

 WILL

Nós vamos para casa. = We will go home.
Eu vou fazer um curso de inglês. = I will take an English course.
Isso vai ficar caro. = It will be expensive.
Vocês vão morar em Vinhedo? = Will you live in Vinhedo?

 WOULD

de ing.

Exemplos: Ela está trabalhando naquela loja do centro.

She is working in that store downtown.

They are going to the school by car.

speaking;
Ela está falando Inglês.

22
She is speaking English.

e + ing = driving;
Eles estão dirigindo até a escola.
