2010-2011 KBF Fall Mission Offering

Kentucky Baptist
Fellowship's Fall Mission
Offering is about
hope. Your support of this
offering enables KBF to
build up hope for people--
people who know about
the harsh realities of life,
the daily injustices of
poverty and social
disparities that can
extinguish the spirit of
hope. God has called each
one of us to share the hope we know - the hope that comes in the form of God's
people working together to change the reality of poverty in our community, to change
the reality of social injustices done in the name of race, religion or class. We build up
hope in the name of Christ because we are reminded that in building hope together,
no one will be left out, no one will be left behind (1 Thess. 5:11).

Interfaith Paths to Peace, held a service on September 11 to honor the sacred texts of
numerous faiths. The service was organized in direct response to the planned burning
of the Koran by a Baptist preacher in Florida.

Preceding the service, the Voices United Choir organized a march for refugee
awareness in Morocco, which attracted over 60 walkers. They walked from Buechel
Park Baptist Church in Louisville to Highland Baptist Church (4.5 miles) carrying signs,
singing songs, and talking to fellow travelers about refugees.
