LEGACY ATIVITIES

1. Affirm status as premier institution in public safety


a. Widen the coverage of the circulation of the RTC8 Magazine “PUNIAS”.
b. Implementation of the Cy 2018 METP
c. Formulation of RTC 8 Student Handbook patterned after the NPTI Training
Guide
d. Coordination with radio station “RADYO BOMBO” for a quarterly radio program.

e. Develop a link at RTC 8 Facebook page. The link has information about
PPSC RTC 8 and its operations to publicize and make people aware of the office
and its services.

2. Converge and Harmonize Academic Courses and Training Programs

3. Conduct rigorous research and development


a. Coordinate with the Academic Group for the formulation and conduct of
institutional researches.
b. Develop tool for evaluation/assessment of the best practices of the Center to
determine the level of client’s satisfaction

4. Expand and intensify local and international linkages


a Pursue the partnership with different state colleges and universities,
organizations and individuals through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
b. Visits to partners institutions, organizations
c. Visits from partner institutions, organizations and like-minded individuals
d. Invite successful RTC 8 alumnus to be resource speakers during traditional
Monday-flag raising ceremonies and other events
5. Launch and sustain the advancement of professional and competent human
resources.
a. Host the “First Social Media in Academic Summit” for RTC8 Staff and the Pool
of Instructors so that they will be acquainted with social media networks and their
common uses; identify situations when social media can be used in education;
and learn best practices for social media use by schools.

b. Conduct seminar workshop on “Values: For Enhanced Performance to


RTC 8 Staff and Personnel

c. Quarterly social activities for RTC 8 Staff and Personnel such as


Teambuilding, Bingo Socials, Fitness activities and the like.

6. Envigorate the formation of the Corps of Professors


a. Strengthen the RTC 8 Local Faculty Rank Classification Committee for the
hiring and retention of Pool of Instructors
b. Strengthen the relationship of RTC 8 Corp of Professor by holding quarterly
“Fellowships”

7. Revitalize and deepen community partnership and extension service program


a. Strengthen partnerships with communities for the Enhanced Community
Immersion Program of the students
b. Coordinate with different educational institutions for the yearly Brigada Eskwela

8. Assure holistic development of the Welfare and Inner Being of students


a. Coordinate with spiritual leaders for the conduct of Holy Retreat for students
during the Lenten season.
b. Invite health practitioners for a monthly Health Talk focusing on prevention of
lifestyle diseases.
c. Strictly implement the Fitness and Wellness program thru a Zumba twice a
week
d. Establish a guidance Counseling office.
e. Implement a “Time with Mentors”. These are sessions with seasoned
motivational speakers where they share their experiences and inspire students/trainees to
excel in their careers and future aspirations .

9. Transform the acquisition of knowledge from conventional into state of the art
information and communication.
a. Full operation of the RTC 8 E-Library

b. Coordinate with IT colleges and universities for the conduct of a seminar


on “Teaching with Technology” for RTC8 Staff and Pool of Instructors.

c. Audio-visual equipped classrooms

d. Strictly implement the use of powerpoint presentations in classroom


instructions

10. Enhance and modernize training facilities and equipage


a. Phase 2 renovation of the RTC 8 Grandstand

b. Install signages and visual markers and other way finding measures to help
promote a welcoming and efficient training environment, especially for trainees new to
the training facility.
c. Design a proactive facility management program to anticipate facility
problems.
