Main section

 Teacher will hand out the music for 500 miles to each instrument
 Pupils will practise both as individuals and as part of their instrument families (pupils will peer assess and help each other to
work on the piece)
 The teacher will spend the period viewing different instruments and advising on any difficulties, playing along with them to
build confidence.
 The ending of the main activity will include a class performance of the piece to gauge progress (individual groups may be also
asked to play- improving performance skills).
 Leave 5 mins at end for packing up
