about
the
Salah
and
Wudhu
[001.002] All the praises and thanks be to Allâh, the Lord (Ar-Rabb) of the 'Alamîn
(mankind, jinns and all that exists).
[001.004] The Only Owner (Al-Malik) (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of
Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)
[001.005] You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and
everything).
[001.007] The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way)
of those who earned Your Anger (such as the Jews), nor of those who went astray
(such as the Christians).
6
[002.255] Allâh! Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), Al-
Hayyul-Qayyum (the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that
exists). Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in
the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him
except with His Permission? He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this
world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter. And they will never encompass
anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills. His Kursî extends over the
heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them.
And He is the Most High, the Most Great. (This Verse 2:255 is called Ayat-ul-Kursî)
[101:001] Al-Qâri'ah (the striking Hour, i.e. the Day of Resurrection).
[101:003] And what will make you know what the striking (Hour) is?
[101:006] Then as for him whose Balance (of good deeds) will be heavy,
[101:008] But as for him whose Balance (of good deeds) will be light,
[105:005] And He made them like (an empty field of) stalks (of which the corn) has
been eaten up (by cattle).
[078:001] What are they asking one another about?
7
[078:002] About the great news (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism, the Qur'ân which Prophet
Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] brought and the Day of Resurrection),
[078:008] And We have created you in pairs (male and female, tall and short, good
and bad).
[078:010] And We have made the night as a covering (through its darkness),
[078:014] And We have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water.
[078:018] The Day when the Trumpet will be blown, and you shall come forth in
crowds (groups after groups). (Tafsir At-Tabari)
[078:019] And the heaven shall be opened, and it will become as gates,
[078:020] And the mountains shall be moved away from their places and they will be
as if they were a mirage.
[078:022] A dwelling place for the Tâghûn (those who transgress the boundary limits
set by Allâh, like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh, hypocrites, sinners,
criminals),
8
[078:023] They will abide therein for ages.
[078:024] Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink.
[078:028] But they denied Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs,
revelations, and that which Our Prophet brought) completely.
[078:030] So taste you (the results of your evil actions). No increase shall We give
you, except in torment.
[078:035] No Laghw (dirty, false, evil talk) shall they hear therein, nor lying;
[078:036] A reward from your Lord, an ample calculated gift (according to the best of
their good deeds),
[078:037] (From) the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and whatsoever is in
between them, – the Most Gracious, with Whom they cannot dare to speak (on the
Day of Resurrection except by His Leave).
[078:038] The Day that Ar-Rûh [Jibrâîl (Gabriel) or another angel] and the angels will
stand forth in rows, they will not speak except him whom the Most Gracious (Allâh)
allows, and he will speak what is right.
[078:039] That is (without doubt) the True Day. So, whosoever wills, let him seek a
place with (or a way to) his Lord (by obeying Him in this worldly life)!
[078:040] Verily, We have warned you of near torment, – the Day when man will see
that (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the disbeliever will say: "I wish
I would have been dust!"
