The V3 site,the ID_DOG have 15 bits in logical.

There are two switches S1

and S2 physically.

 For each bit of S1 and S2, status “ON” means “0”, “OFF” means “1”

 S1 bits 1—8 are mapped ID_DOG logical bits 0—7; S2 bit 1—8 are
mapped ID_DOG logical bits 8—15;

The meaning of each bit is explained as follows:

NO Name Meaning Description

15 BTS_TYPE BTS TYPE 1100: B8018

The number of the E1 port of the basic cabinet to connect the lower-level site cannot
be the same as of SLAVE_PORT1 or SLAVE_PORT2. For example, suppose Port F
of the basic cabinet connects with the lower-level site, then the values of
SLAVE_PORT1 and SLAVE_PORT2 cannot be 01.

For example,site1 and site2 are BTS B8018,site2 is the downsite of site1.Both sites
use the common Abis,site1 E1 port A connect to BSC,site2 E1 port A connect to site1
port D. The O&M timeslot of site2 is TS31.Then the dip switches are:
Site1: S1(1—8) 00000000 S2(1—8) 00000011
Site2: S1(1—8) 10000000 S2(1—8) 00000011

Installing E1 Cable

E1 cables are connected through E1 PORT1 and E1 PORT2 on the cabinet top,
mainly used for Abis interface connection, site cascading, and cabinet
combination. E1 cables include 75 Ω E1 cables and 120 Ω E1 cables.

The 75 Ω E1 cable adopts thin co-axial cable with D-type socket, including eight
thin co-axial cables, as shown in Figure 2.

Site ID is a 16 bit number starting from 15 to 0 (left to right). 1-8 bit of DIP
switch S1 stands for bit 0-7 for ID while 1-8 bits of S2 stands for bit 8-15 for ID.

Figure 4 shows ID numbering.

case, set ABIS_TS to

Note: By default, on-site monitoring equipment port selects RS232 port to

connect transparent channel by software and doesn’t support other modes.
SLAVE1_PORT and SLAVE_PORT2 cannot conflict with cascading ports. The
power-down bypass relationship of B8018 is: A—E, B—F, C—G, D—H.

The follow is the photo how to config cascading site.
