Blue Jeans (escritor)

Blue Jeans (Sevilla, 7 de noviembre de 1978) es el seudónimo del escritor español Francisco de
Paula Fernández González, superventas entre los adolescentes, autor del género romántico
dirigido a jóvenes.

Biografía
Con 18 años se trasladó a Madrid y comenzó a estudiar en la Universidad Europea; se
licenció e hizo un máster en periodismo deportivo. Al mismo tiempo, intentó estudiar
Filología alemana en la Complutense, sin éxito. Colaboró con algunos medios,
especialmente deportivos, pero sin éxito; durante algunos años también entrenó a
equipos de fútbol sala de niños en Palestra Atenea.

Su carrera de escritor comenzó en su blog, donde publicó por capítulos su primera

novela, Canciones para Paula,5 que le permitió firmar contrato con la editorial Everest
para publicarla en 2009; este año también publicó ¿Sabes que te quiero?, y en el 2011
Cállame con un beso, el último libro de esta trilogía dirigida a lectores adolescentes.

Después de su exitosa trilogía, Blue Jeans pasó a la Editorial Planeta, donde ha salido su
serie El club de los Incomprendidos. En diciembre del 2014 se estrenó en España la
primera película del mismo nombre, dirigida por Carlos Sedes, y en abril del año
siguiente llegó a América Latina: Chile (9 de abril), Perú (14 de mayo) y México (29 de
mayo).6 Los protagonistas son Charlotte Vega, Àlex Maruny, Ivana Baquero, Jorge
Clemente, Andrea Trepat y Michelle Calvó.

Blue Jeans dedica mucho tiempo a las redes sociales y sus obras han recibido varios
premios.7 Sobre su seudónimo, explicó en 2014: "Como comencé a escribir en Internet
me decidí a usar sobrenombre. Blue Jeans es el título de una canción del grupo
Squeezer. Me gustaba como sonaba el título, no la canción, y decidí adoptarlo. Paco
Fernández no era muy comercial".5

Biography
