ZTA TOGETHER WE STAND

Hello, welcome to The Zambian Teachers Affairs platform, where God is the source of all wisdom, and
wisdom is the principle thing; where teachers become great leaders. Our high standards of Christian
professional programs enable eager teachers to go beyond the limits of a typical classroom and work to
develop strategic solutions to complex problems with a mind to not only meet aspirations, but to clearly
exceed them.

We train our members to engage in Comprehensive research and analysis, challenge theoretical
approaches, develop innovative methodologies, and apply them in practical situations during
professional discussions conducted.

We believe that leadership is about integrity, initiative, and serving others, just as Christ serves us.
Likewise, members of ZTA are here to succeed professionally and make a difference not only in their
communities, but the World at large.

by biblical values and principles and inspired to exceed teachers and community expectations.

MISSION STATEMENT
To educate and develop the whole person; our members will be equipped to become leaders living
ethically, healthy, useful and purposeful lives with strong sense of personal accountability, civic
responsibility and commitment.

CORE VALUES
Our core values are based on Christianity; that the fear of God is the beginning of knowledge.

QUALITY SERVICE
ZTA platform is very particular with commitment of teachers. Hard work is key to success.

INTEGRITY
It is not what we eat, but what we digest that makes us strong, not what we gain, but what we save that
makes us rich, not what we profess but what we do that gives us integrity.

As a President of ZTA, I am proud to lead this venture to the glory of our Lord, Jesus Christ. To us your
decision to become part of this platform is highly welcomed.

THE FOLLOWING ARE THE KEY ROLES OF ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS

THE PRESIDENT
1) Appointing and delegating- take great care in the appointments you make and in delegating tasks. After
appointing persons to perform tasks, it is your responsibility to ensure that the task is done correctly
and completely.

2) Attend and encourage all others to attend the professional discussions

3) Evaluating- on-going analysis of professional programs, taking feedback from advisors, members and
board to develop ways to improve meetings, projects, and attendance.

4) Monitoring- continuously monitor the platform’s progress toward goal accomplishment and the
activities and responsibilities of all officers and appointees.

5) Presiding- make certain that each administrative board is well planned and organized, flows smoothly,
ends on time, and that each member has fun and experiences fellowship. Responsible for agenda
setting and for preparing the vice-president to preside in your absence.

6) Problem solving- make it apparent that you are concerned about your platform and willing to help. Seek
input and explore alternatives before making important decisions.

7) Recruiting and retaining- make certain all members are active and involved throughout the year. New
membership is the lifeblood of the platform and its level of service. Have an aggressive, yearlong
membership campaign with weekly and monthly goals to be achieved. Make certain new members
understand the platform before induction and are actively involved immediately after induction.

VICE PRESIDENT

1) Is the oversight of all administrative boards

2) Accountability for all administrative boards performance

3) Heading all administrative boards and Motivating staffs

4) Forming , leading, guiding and managing the platform sufficient to accomplish the president’s
responsibilities and strategic plan of the professional programs

5) Creating ,communicating and implementing the platforms vision, mission and overall direction

6) Performing other activities assigned by the president

DIRECTOR / ASSISTANT OF TEACHERS AFFAIRS

1) Monitor all programs and assist members

2) Responds to teachers’ needs and plan programs for the platform

3) Supervising all programs the professional platform conducts

4) Collaborating with administration and other staff to support teachers on the platform

5) Removing inactive and underqualified members from the platform and update the permanent secretary

PERMANENT SECRETARY

1) Provide important advice and support to the administration and the president

2) Carries out instructions of the president

3) Collecting reports from all administrative boards

4) Organizing and servicing professional meetings for the administration

5) Managing debates

6) Removing indiscipline and underqualified members & update the HR.

7) Writing press release

HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER

1) Responsible for monitoring the performance of teacher on the platform

2) Recruiting /adding teachers into this platform

3) Looking after the healthy ,safety and welfare of all teachers on the platform

PLANNING PROJECT OFFICER

1) Plans ,develops ,implements and coordinates strategic operational and administrative programs and
projects

2) Coordinates all activities

3) Design ,establishes and maintains administrative structure and staffing

4) Oversees adding of members to the forum and problem resolution

CHIEF SPOKESPERSON & DEFENSE OFFICER

1) Responsible for creating and maintaining a positive public image for the forum

2) Writing press release

3) Giving positive feedback to the teachers needs

4) Secures internal personnel by removing unverified teachers and impostors

5) Monitoring all the activities and dismiss members who does not abide to the rules and regulations

6) Educating the members to always follow the rules and regulations of the forum

CHIEF DISCIPLINARY & ASSISTANT HR

1) Briefing the president on matters relating to the welfare of the discipline

2) Educating the members sticking to the rules and regulations

3) providing academic leadership in the discipline

4) Help in recruiting new members and forward the names to the human resource officer

5) Removing inactive and underqualified members from the platform and update the HR
