eight cats in the shelter. The eighth cat, the largest, got 32
spoonfuls of food. Each cat after her got four less spoonfuls of
food.
How many spoonfuls of food will she feed the fourth cat?

The class wants to make picture frames for their buddy class
using craft sticks. Every picture must have four craft sticks
around it. The first student makes one picture frame using 4
craft sticks. The second student uses 7 craft sticks to make two
picture frames. The third student uses 10 craft sticks to make
three picture frames.
If the students continue making picture frames in this way, how
many craft sticks will the 8th student need? Draw a picture of
what the frame would look like with 8 pictures.
