On 21 October Only Neil Can Beat Labour
Resident across Tower Hamlets have been telling Neil that they support his jobs policies, and his plans to protect our local public services by cutting waste in the Town Hall The truth is that only Neil King can beat Labour on 21 October, and bring about the change that we so desperately need in Tower Hamlets. As the results show , the Conservatives came close here in the parliamentary elections in May 2010. Remember, in this election you can cast a vote for your first and second choice candidate—the ballot paper is just the same as when you voted for Boris Johnson as Mayor of London So, even if you are thinking about voting for another party on 21 October, please lend Neil your second vote: it could make all the difference.

Why have four more years of Labour’s disastrous local council, when we can have a fresh start with Neil as Mayor .

A fair deal on planning, so local residents can stand up against strip clubs and chicken shops. Send independent auditors into the Housing department, to ensure fairness and clarity. Stop Labour’s plans to double the population of some wards and build on our green space Restore Labour’s cuts to English language teaching. Nothing opens up more opportunities than fluency in English. Shut down East End Life, saving £2 million by axing the council’s propaganda ‘newspaper’.

NEIL PLEDGES TO PROTECT OUR VITAL PUBLIC SERVICES LOCALLY
Labour have a terrible record of making cuts to front line services here in Tower Hamlets. You only have to look at the scandal of pensioners’ luncheon clubs not receiving their usual funding over the past year to see where Labour’s priorities lie. Instead of prioritising those in need, Labour continue to fritter away our money on their £2 million pound a year ‘newspaper’ and an electricity bill of half a million pounds for the Town Hall. Why can’t they just switch the lights off at night? And to make matters even worse, Labour councillors have decided to increase the pay of the new Executive Mayor yet again! Now they want him to be paid another £10,000 a year, taking his pay to a whopping £75,000. As Mayor, Neil will stop this waste and protect services for pensioners and the young. He will make sure the local police have the resources they need to cut the crime and anti-social behaviour that blights too many of our local communities. Much can be achieved by cutting Labour’s wasteful spending.

“Labour’s record on protecting public services is awful. They have spent and spent, but on propaganda newspapers and Town Hall electricity bills. I trust Neil to ensure that services for my son are top notch here in Tower Hamlets. Now it is time for change”
