A Future Brighter Than Any Past Campaign Update
As many of you know, we have been involved with a project that touches all of us -- A FUTURE BRIGHTER THAN ANY PAST: The Campaign for the Paulist Fathers. The Paulist Fathers have served in Austin for 100 years. This important capital campaign will benefit important Paulist ministries across North America such as: Reconciliation Ministries: Reaching out to those who have left the church, letting them know we miss them and want them to return; Evangelization Ministries: Reaching out to those who have no church and sharing the Good News of the Gospel; and Communication Ministries: Using every available means of communications to share the Word of God. Additionally, funds from this campaign will support the education of Paulist seminarians and senior Paulists in retirement. Our local goal from the UCC faith community in Austin is $300,000. Twenty percent of this money will be returned here to the UCC for our own local ministry needs. In the coming weeks you will receive a lot of information about this capital campaign. I encourage you to prayerfully consider making a pledge before Commitment Sunday on April 20. Thank you from the bottom of my heart – Father Dave Farnum, CSP
