The teacher asks per group to back their place. I will write a sentence subtraction(8-3). I will
take eight learners in the front of the class to take away just three students. I will write


another sentence subtraction (8-6), I will select eight learners in the front of the class to take
away only 6. Then I will ask them How many remaining?.
Before go to the activity, I will do a short competition, I will divide the class into two groups,
white and yellow. Then I will select one learner from white and yellow group to read the
sentence subtraction then to pick the balls via spoon to catch the ball.
I have activity for per of you. In this sheets we have eight beads, below you have two
sentences subtraction, Let us solve the first one together, (8-2). First I will count the dots,
second, how many should I take away? Then I will take two away. How many remaining?
Before They begin the activity, When I work the chicken sound it means the times off. Leave
all from your hands.
I will give more activity for who finish fast.
After that, I will ask them to open the book.

Overview of the lesson: Lesson started with the teacher writing the subtraction symbol on the
white board and asked the students if they understood its significance. She continued by asking
the students if they could solve 2-1. Students continued to work on their textbook. Teacher was
highly engaged and entertaining
Areas for development: Class started 15 minutes late. Students were left sitting at their desk
with no instructions. They were later told to open their textbook. It was difficult to determine
the lesson’s goal. The Gradual release of responsibility model was not evident. Lesson’s structure
must be simplified. All lesson must include a smart objective. The teacher must explain the
lesson’s concept and model. Followed the explanation, must be a strong activity to reinforce the

Lesson was too teacher centered. All eyes were focus on the teacher for almost the entire class
Routines haven’t been established and without routines, it is difficult to get grade one students to
