Reflection:

Select (S):

Identify a lesson and what standards are you addressing

This lesson is an English lesson. The lesson was about parts of the body. The students will be able
to name each parts of the body and where is each part located.

Describe (D):

Who is the lesson for?

Where did the lesson take place?

What were you trying to achieve in your lesson?

What did the students do?

This lesson for grade 2 students, the lesson was in the English classroom. In this lesson, I was
trying to teach parts of the body and where is each part located. IN the Introduction students were
listing to the parts of body songs ,after that they were playing a game ,teacher put key words under
each chair, the teacher will ask the students to look under the chair you find a word or picture take the
word and came in front of the class and read the word and see how to have the picture of this part and
put the picture and the word on the board. After that teacher paly other game with them Then the
teacher will show them the part of the body and ask the students to touch it for example teacher will say
head all students will touch the head, the teacher will eye, and students will touch their eye. than
students move to the center group.one group will write parts of body names in the blank space, other
group will cut and past the parts and glue it in the correct place, other two groups cut the body
parts and glue it in there in the correct place to make the picture.

Analyze (A):

Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?

How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?

How well did you engage the students?

In the formative assessment, I check their understanding and then decide if the topic needs re-taught, I
found that students could complete the activity independently, and during the activity I walk through
centers and ask some question during the activity, about what the doing, what is this part called and the
students answer me back and same, so I know the students what I try to teach them to understand. From
grade one students know parts of the body but in grade 2 students learn new parts, for example arm، toes
students don’t know the foot finger called toes. Students were engaging when they are doing their activity
and rating each part in the correct place to take a picture.

Appraise (A):

Explain the nature of the experience from the students’ perspective

Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?

In the introduction’s students were involved with me answering questions, during the centers'
students were able to the complete activity because the instruction was clear, there was one
problem buring the lesson student was noise when they play a game and looking for key words
under the table. Yes, my lesson meets my teaching goals I plan activity depends in their level.

Transform (T):

How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?

What are the implications for your professional practice?
