9 Exploring Technologies
Unit: 3D Modelling and Animation
Semester: 1 Project: Chess Piece Design

Objective: In this unit project students will be introduced to modelling 3D chess pieces, with emphasis placed on developing new designs to the Castle; in chess terms a “Rook”. We will be exploring 3D modelling
practices through the use of basic primitive shapes and forms. Students will further develop their designs through the use of 3D polygonal extrusions to create our own original playing pieces.
