indicated and fit the belay pins 103 and the eyebolts 109. Make the two mizzenmast side pin-rails 285 and fit the five belay pins 103, the
embellishments 287 and the columns 286. On the bridgedeck, fit the five large clump blocks 99 and the four small clump blocks 100, making ten 1mm-
diameter holes to insert the chains of plate 98 (both on port and starboard sides). With parts 286, 288 and 289 build the central rail on the bridgedeck.

39 Cover the hull of the two lifeboats 309 with the basswood battens 310, starting at the keel. Glue these battens in such a way that they
overlap one another to form a clinker-built hull. Paint both of the boats’ hulls ivory, the gunwales black and fit the embellishments 287 and
the very fine brown thread 300. With the battens 311, 312 line the bottom of the boat and make the bow and stern bases 313. Fit and adjust the
seven seats 314. Astern and on the bow, make 0.8mm-diameter holes to fit the eyebolts 109 with the rings 108 and glue the gunwale covers 315.
