## The tool can be used in two different ways:

1. Technical data of the drive is not known and therefore the appropriate tension cannot be
calculated. In such cases, refer to general tension values recommended for the particular belt in
tables provided with the tool.

program or by a belt tension formula. Simply measure the strand tension in the belt and
compare it with the calculated Tension by elongation is accepted as an easy way to
tension banded belts.

2. Tension the belt, and then measure the new circumference.
