BRIEF OF APPELLEES Statemen? of the Case This cause was heard at a special sitting of the United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina beginning August 28, 1950, and extending through August 30, 1950, in the Durham Division at Durham, North Carolina, where is situated the North Carolina College at which is operated the North Carolina College Law School which the original plaintiffs, Epps and Glass, were attending as law students at the time of the institution of the action and at which the intervenors were registered as law students at the time of intervening in this action.
