Stop The Track After The First Two Songs

3. Christmas Favorites Medley

Narrator: This is the day of celebration. A time to worship Christ. The

hour to recall and rejoice in the wonder and mystery of the incarnation
story. A moment to cherish the glory of Christmas! Emmanuel: God
with us! God Himself coming in the form of a baby-the Messiah-to
become one of us, that we might become one with him. This is the hope
of Christmas. The season to be jolly, with laughter and singing! Jingle
belling all the way as we receive the king of glory.

4. The Little Drummer Boy

Narrator: The wise men from the east came to worship the new-born
King; they brought their finest gifts to honour Him; the most expensive,
the best and highest value of their time.
How can you and I honour the King of Kings and Lord of Lords? The
Little Drummer Boy played his drum, pa rum pum Pum Pum!... on his
drum, for Him… and he said, Me and my Drum… (Pause for a moment)
oh! That “little drummer boy.”

5. Faith Will Take You Farther

Narrator: God’s plan for sending a saviour was far different than
anyone could have imagined. He chose a young woman named Mary to
bear the Son of God.
The angel Gabriel greeted Mary: “Do not be afraid. You have found
favour with God. You will bear a child-a Son-and you are to give Him
the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most
High.”
1
Mary was overwhelmed at the news. In amazement and wonder, she
exclaimed, “But how can this be!” the angel responded, “The power of
the Most High will overshadow you. And the holy one to be born will be
called the Son of God.”
In humble response, Mary said, “I am the Lord’s servant. May your
word to me be fulfilled.”
(Music begins)Faith Will Take You Farther
The faith of Mary brings to the fulfilment of God’s plan to save mankind
from sin. Sometimes faith will bring you to trust a promise that’s
illogical, but that’s how it is for a believing heart. Hold on! For faith will
take you farther than you dream.

6. Manger Medley

Narrator: When the angels went away from them into heaven, the
shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see
these things that have happened, which the Lord has made known to us.”
And they went and found Him, come not in glory but in a stable.
He came not in power but in weakness, not in wealth but in poverty.
And this was God’s plan from the beginning.
(Music Starts)Manger Medley
For it was out of His love and goodness that mercy was made visible to
us by a baby in a cradle.
This child who, laid to rest on Mary’s lap, is the perfect masterpiece of
LOVE.

7. Come to Deliver Me

Narrator: Israel, the chosen people of God, were a people walking and
living in a land of deep darkness. For generations, they toiled under the
oppressive rule of Egypt, living in bondage and torture, longing to
experience release from their captivity, yearning for a Savior who would
come and deliver them from their pain and sorrow.
Their sustaining hope was found in a profound conviction that a Messiah
would eventually come to save them; that this Savior would one day

2
deliver them from their long days of darkness to a place of perpetual
light.
(Music begins) Come to Deliver Me
It was this hope-this promise-which carried them forward when they
were weary with the daily tasks of life.
And it is this same hope which sustains us in the journey of faith and life
that this Messiah-this deliverer-comes to us when we need Him most; to
deliver us, to redeem our life, and to give us hope.

8. Let There Be Peace On Earth

Narrator: It is written in Isaiah 52: 7, “How beautiful on the mountains

are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim…PEACE.”
Those are the words of the prophet Isaiah from many centuries ago.
Looking around today, we may have difficulty finding any semblance of
true, lasting peace. But listen closely- God is still whispering, “Peace on
Earth, good will to men.”
(Music Begins) Let There Be Peace on Earth
May this season find peace in you and me, for he is the prince of peace
in whom we celebrate this day. And now, as we listen to the choir sing
“let there be peace on earth” let us quieten our hearts and continue to
enjoy His gift and perfect peace that is found in Him.

9. It’s Christmas Finale

Narrator: On that magnificent night, the great army of heavenly hosts

appeared with the angel, singing praises to God: “Glory to God in the
highest heaven! And peace on earth to men with whom he is pleased!”
It is the most wonderful time of the year. It is God coming near. So you
see, the whole Christmas story is about God coming close and reaching
out to meet the needs of people like you and me…
