`. THE LAWYER AS AN OFFICER OF THE COURT


While l,wyers owe their entire devotion to the interest of the client ,nd ze,l in the
defense of their clientʼs right, they ,re ,lso officers of the court, bound to exert every
effort to ,ssist in the speedy ,nd efficient ,dministr,tion of justice. They should not
misuse the rules of procedure to defe,t the ends of justice or unduly del,y , c,se,
