RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION OF ELEMENTARY AND JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER I

1. The receipt of applications for the ranking of Elementary and Junior High School Teacher-I
applicants of the Schools Division of lloilo shall begin on January 3, 2019. The recruitment
procedure, evaluation, selection and hiring of qualified teachers shall be conducted in accordance
with the provisions of DepEd Order No. 7, s. 2015 (Hiring Guidelines for Teacher I Positions
Effective School Year 2015-2016).

2. The procedure in the recruitment and evaluation of teacher- I applicants is contained in Enclosure
No. 1 of this Memorandum.

3. This office highly encourages interested and qualified applicants regardless of age, school, gender,
civil status, disability, religion, ethnicity, social status, income class, paternity and affiliation, political
affiliation, or other similar factors/personal circumstances which run counter to the principles of
merit, fitness for the job, and equal opportunity.

4. Applicants shall submit two (2) complete sets of documents folder directly to the principal of the
elementary or secondary school with a written application letter supported by documents
enumerated in the attached Omnibus Certification of Authenticity and Verification of Documents
Submitted (Enclosure No. 3) which shall likewise be duly accomplished by the applicant.

5. The Screening Committee in the elementary school shall be chaired by the School Head with four
(4) teachers as members. In case of primary incomplete elementary and multi grade (MG) schools,
the committee shall be chaired by the cluster school head with four(4) teachers from the cluster
schools are members. The committee at the secondary level shall be chaired by the School Head.
The Department Head concerned and three (3) teachers from the different learning areas(as
needed based on the school's vacancies) shall be members. For small secondary schools that do
not have department heads, the School Head shall be the Committee Chair with four (4) subject
leaders from different learning areas as members. Committee members shall be identified by the
the School Head using the above mentioned specifications. The School Head shall transmit the
composition to the Schools Division Superintendent for the issuance of a corresponding
