Writing Task 1

The column graph illustrates the information about the workforce involved in different
employment areas in Japan, Brazil, and India which are at different levels of economies.

In Japan, the maximum employment (approximately 60 percent of the total population) is in


the service sector and fewer works in agriculture (below 10 percent).

Brazil also has the largest portion of employment in the service sector. Agriculture and
industrial portions have the same level of attention with approximately 25% in each.

India has the highest portion of workers in the agriculture sector than Japan and Brazil. The
lowest percentage of Indian workers (around 12%) are in the industrial sector.

Overall the chart indicates that the countries with more developed economies like Japan and
Brazil seem to have a larger portion of the workforce in the service and industrial sector than
in agricultural sectors. A country with the poor economy like India has the maximum
percentage of employment in agricultural works.
