1. Which flashcard did I clap? Put 5 pairs of flashcards in a pocket chart. Choose one and clap it. Students write
the one that they heard.

2. Hand out one flashcards to each student as they enter the classroom. Instead of taking attendance, each child
claps their card.

3. Place 6 pairs of flashcards in the pocket chart. Each child claps a pair of flashcards.

4. Flashcard Turnover. Do the activity as outlined on page x. At the end of the activity have each child write
down the four flashcards used.

5. Rhythm dictation. Clap a pattern. Have the students write down what you clapped.
