Back to School Album
Step by Step:
1. Using my 2 in 1 Combo Trimmer was incredibly helpful in making this project, I was able to use the guillotine on my trimmer to cut down chipboard to 9 1/2 x 8 1/2 for my album covers. Making the process easier I cut my pattern paper down to 8 1/2 x 8 in multiple sheets (mine did 5 at a time). Using the guides printed on the trimmer made measuring a snap. 2. Next I marked holes according to the extra binding chipboard included in refill pages, and punched out with my hand hole punch. I covered my front and back covers with DCWV pattern paper and used plain while Bazill Cardstock for the inside of front and back covers. I also used the left over scraps to make a pocket for inside front and back covers by attaching with Helmars craft glue along the sides and bottom. I used this pocket to hold a journaling card and assorted color paper clips to hold future memories from school. 3. I then decorated my pages with more DCWV pattern paper with premade photo mats with Bazill paper and Magic mesh. I was able to save time by measuring my paper and Magic Mesh & made one cut with multiple papers with my guillotine. I even went back and trimmed a few mats with my wave #2309 click blade for added flair. 4. For embellishments I used a full sheet of quotes from DCWV Back to school paper and cut out each seperately. I used Scrap Dots to lift each quote off the page and allow a picture to slid underneath. And added scraps for journaling boxes cut with deco wave #2309 clickblade to make a contrast against the page. Year n te e 5. I also used back to school stickers from Me and My Big Ideas, matted on Bazill paper and inked edges with coordinating Colorbox inks. 6. My final page has Dazzler's Petallo flowers adheared by Scrap Dots, to embellish the photo mat. Finally the binding is unique, in that I slipped the pony tail holder thru the top hole and around the pencil and then stretched it to the bottom hole and thread thru and pulled around bottom of pencil. This makes for a great gift, all you have to do is adhere your photos, and add journaling.
