Gable, Pastor STAFF Beverly Carpenter, Secretary Mike Oliver, Music Director Russ Wagner, Custodian FROM THE PASTOR we May you find peace and strength as you contin- ue to walk the path of faith! Greetings Sisters and Brothers in Christ, First, this message come to you with “Thanks” for all the cards and prayers for me in the loss of my spiritual father, Han van den Blink. Over the last 18 yrs., Han had given me the guidance, prayers, and kindness, to search my soul and guide me along this journey of spiritual formation. I will miss him, but T also know he has given me gifts that will help me to continue as a servant of Christ. I give praise to God for his witness to me and so many others in the name of our Lord! Secondly, I would like to “Thank” all those that have been attending the Comparative Religion Study class. We have moved from our brief study of Buddhism, Hinduism, and Islam. We are now presently studying Judaism, which accompanied a “Teaching Tour” on Monday evening at Temple Sha- lom by Rabbi Leif. It was truly enjoyable and insightful! We will continue to move along with Catholicism, Protestantism and finish with a special emphasis on Lutheranism. Anyone can attend at any time. Our Study is on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. at Christ the King. We will be meeting through the month of March. Thirdly, Ash Wednesday will be on March 6, 2019. There will be two ser- vices. Please try to attend. We will receive the imposition of Ashes with the celebration of Holy Communion. During this Lenten Season focus on your prayer life, reflect and turn to the Lord with a grateful heart, Search out the ways of God that call us to a deeper spiritual life. Lastly, let us invite the Holy Spirit to work in and through us so that we may be the witness that so many need in our community and the world. We are the “hands and feet” of Christ and blessed are those who serve him with love. Yours in the Lord's service, Factor Leh.
