Subtopic #1: Apple’s Creation Founded by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak in California and launched the Apple I. The Apple II brought Apple into the mainstream and was widely acclaimed due in part to its position as the first computer to use color graphics. Apple brought the GUI to the average consumer, using icons instead of complicated text line commands with their Macintosh in 1984. Laid major groundwork for many of today’s computers, including plug and play functionality and hand writing recognition. Apple is still known today for their ease of use and innovative production line. III. Subtopic #2: Apple Today The current location of the Apple headquarters is located in Cupertino, California. Apple stores, recognized for their architectural uniqueness, are spread throughout many countries like the U.K., U.S., Italy, and China. Steven Jobs, who returned to the company in 1997, is the current CEO and is at the forefront of Apple. Apple is known for their; line of desktop iMacs, portable Mac books, iPod mp3 players, and widely successful iPhone. Apple is not only innovating in the current generation, but also looking forward to the future with new software and reliable hardware. IV. Subtopic #3: Apple Tomorrow Weathering the current recession quite well, Apple may soon invest in cheaper laptops that combine affordability with their reliable history of great computers Heading in the direction of faster chips in cheaper devices, Apple is preparing for a bright future. Doors will continue to open for the company as new partnerships with Intel and Nvidia bring a larger share of the computer market to them. The introduction of the iPhone shows that Apple can enter into any new and undiscovered market and come out on top with a great product that doesn’t fail to please. Pushing the personal computer manufacturers today, Apple will likely influence new features in your home computer even if one doesn't own a Mac. V. Conclusion 1. Although only holding a small share of the computer market, Apple has managed to create a sterling reputation by adhering to principles of the customer and a reliable, innovative product. 2. Apple grew from two dreaming college dropouts in a small garage in California into one of the most successful computer industries to date. 3. With a line of products that stand out from all the rest by a certain uniqeness and ease of use, Apple has stood on top and set the standard for other computer manufacturers
