EDU 201 Lesson Plan – Chapter 11, Section 7

Chapt. 11, Sec 7 – Advantages of Using Measures to Assess Student Learning

Topic – Multiple ways to assess student learning and the advantages

Grade Level – College-level Education Class

Subject Area – Education

Standards: Students should be able to understand the different ways of assessing student

learning and how they can utilize more than one way to ensure proper assessment of students.

Students should be able to apply knowledge in the classroom and properly implement these

assessment tools.

Objectives: Students will be able to understand the ways we can measure student learning as

teachers. Students will also understand the benefits of each measurement tool and how they can

work together to properly assess an individual. Finally, students will be able to apply this

knowledge in the classroom, as instructors.

Materials: Handout to work on throughout the presentation, Powerpoint presentation, two

videos that will describe and support my point, a quiz following the presentation

Procedures:

T: Introduction of myself and topic, hand out worksheet

S: Put name on worksheet and begin attentive listening

T: Go through presentation, read off slides and describe details in-depth:

Slide 4: Types

Slide 5: How to mix

Slide 6: Triangulation video
