WORKING EXPERIENCE
2019 - NOW
PHD STUDENT, UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO, THE SICKKIDS HOSPITAL (TORONTO)
I am currently enrolled as a PhD student in the department of physiology and in the
collaborative program in Neuroscience (CPIN). I carry out my research in the memory field at
the Sickkids hospital under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Paul Frankland in his Laboratory.

2017 - 2018
RESEARCH ASSISTANT, LEIBNIZ INSITUTE FOR NEUROBIOLOGY (MAGDEBURG)
I worked as a research assistant in the field of memory. In particular we focused on the
mechanisms underlying temporal association memory within the hippocampus. We
combined in-vivo electrophysiology and behavior in freely moving, genetically manipulated
mice to have better insights into possible mechanisms serving this process.

2017
TRAINEE, UNIVERSITY OF PADUA
As a finishing master student I collaborated with the Neuroscience of Movement lab group
(NEMO lab). Using Transcranical Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and eye-tracking on healthy
human subjects, we proceeded on investigating the modulation of corticospinal excitability
during action observation.

2016
ACADEMIC AND RESEARCH ASSISTANT, RUHR UNIVERSITY OF BOCHUM
During my Erasmus scholarship I had the chance to work as academic assistant in the Neuro
Dynamics Lab (NDL) and approach the field of memory more deeply. After a thorough review
of the most recent theories in the memory field, we firstly worked to establish a reliable
behavioral protocol and to develop and verify the genetic manipulation of the mice. As a next
step, we tested behavioral differences between experimental mice and a control group in our
paradigm. On top of that we started also establishing a different protocol based on cannula
drug infusion.
