2. Also, one vacancy in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council has occurred on


3rd October, 2018 due to death of sitting member, Dr. M.V.V.S. Murthi from
Visakhapatnam Local Authorities’ Constituency. The term of Dr. M.V.V.S.
Murthi is up to and including 11.08.2021.
3. Amendment of Delimitation Order of Council Constituencies in Telangana
is under process; however, the Commission has decided to conduct the
aforesaid elections as per the existing delimitation.

4. Now, the Commission has decided to hold above mentioned Biennial


Election to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Legislative Councils and bye
election to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council from Visakhapatnam Local
Authorities’ Constituency, in accordance with the following schedule:

2 Last date of making nominations 5th March, 2019 (Tuesday)
3 Scrutiny of nominations 6th March, 2019 (Wednesday)
5 Last date for withdrawal of 8th March, 2019 (Friday)

7 Hours of poll 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
8 Counting of Votes 26th March, 2019 (Tuesday)
9 Date before which election shall be 28th March, 2019 (Thursday)

5. The Model Code of Conduct concerning these elections will come into
force with immediate effect in the concerned Constituencies. Please see the
