Y’s Trip To State

Y has never played any sports, but his Gym teacher, Coach R, has noticed that he was very
good at flag football. After class, Coach R pulled Y to the side and asked Y if he would like
to play football this year. Y was excited to play his first sport.

At the dinner table that night, Y asked his parents if he could play football. His parents said,
“No, football is a dangerous sport and a concussion could hurt you permanently!”

The next day at school, Y went to Coach R and asked him to talk to his parents as they were
worried about him getting hurt. Coach R went to Y’s house and talked to his parents and
convinced them to let Y play.

Y played his first football game and they won by 7 points. Y’s parents were so happy to see
him play a sport. They never lost a game and Y was the star player of the team and they had
a chance to go to state.

They were at practice and Y got hurt and he got a concussion. He was going to be out for
the first game for state. Y was disappointed because he wanted to play. Y came back at the
end and they won state.
