 During Life

Angeline is the daughter of Rosidik and Hamidah. He was adopted by the Margareta family
from infancy. Angeline's parents were handed over to Margareta because she couldn't get the
money to make up for the clinical costs.
When Angeline was born, Rosidik's age was only IDR 30 thousand per day. Banyuwangi
residents only work as coolies. While Hamidah's maternity costs at that time reached Rp. 600
thousand.
When in difficult conditions, Angeline was delivered by Margareta through her boarding house
neighbor. At that time, Margareta promised to look after, and care for Angeline well and they
believed.
After being met with Margareta at a clinic in Canggu, Kuta, Badung, he admitted that he was
invited to a notary to make a black and white agreement. Then Rosidik was given Rp1.8 million
by Margareta

• With Margareta
Margareta's promise to treat Angeline well was denied. While at Margareta's house, Angeline
was treated like a small slave. He had to feed hundreds of cattle owned by Margareta.
Before finishing feeding chicken, Angeline was banned from eating and going to school. This
activity is carried out by Angeline every day before going to school. For that, Angeline had to
wake up from dawn. h
In fact, when less chicken food and drinks Angeline was always yelled at and scolded by
Margareta. With a tone of contempt without mercy, Margareta called Angeline an unknowing
child.
Not infrequently, Angeline is a victim of Margareta's persecution if she feeds the chicken late.
Once upon a time there was a Margareta chicks missing one tail and not found.
Annoyed by the missing chicks, Margareta then beat Angeline. Margareta also often grabs
Angeline's long hair. This rude action was received by Angeline almost every day.
Class II Guardian of SDN 12 Sanur Putu Sri Wijayanti said, every day Angeline looks tangled,
her clothes are dirty, her hair is messy and the smell of chicken manure. Because of this, often
he is the one who craves it.
"Yes, I once washed her hair. At that time her son was very dirty, starting from his hair, ears,
and neck, all of them crumbled," explained Sri, when met by reporters.
He also claimed to often see bruises on Angeline's body. One day, Margareta met her and said
thank you for giving attention to her child. However, he did not ask why because of fear.

• Angeline is missing
Before being found killed by his own adoptive mother, Angeline (8) reportedly disappeared
from home, in the Denpasar, Bali area. News of Angeline's disappearance began to be reported,
on Saturday, May 16 2015.
When it disappeared, this beautiful little boy wore a long, light blue negligee, yellow flip-flops,
ponytail and thin body.
Angeline was last seen while playing in her front yard, on Jalan Sedap Malam. The Margareta
family initially built Angelina's opinion missing being taken away by an unknown person.
The news of Angeline's disappearance was also spread to Facebook's social network. But when
reporters confirmed this to the South Denpasar Police Chief, Commissioner Nanang
Prihasmoko, news of Angeline's disappearance was denied.
 • Found dead
After news of Angeline's disappearance was widespread, public attention was immediately
directed to the search for this poor boy. Police officers were urged to look harder for Angeline's
whereabouts.
The officers' efforts finally paid off. Angeline was discovered on Wednesday, June 10, 2015.
When found, Angeline was lifeless.
His body turned out to be buried with a doll in a house at Margareta, Jalan Sedap Malam,
Sanur, Denpasar.
Angeline's body was found by the Bali Police Joint Team consisting of East Denpasar Police
and Denpasar Police behind the chicken coop, precisely near the banana tree in front of which
was a pile of garbage.

• Sadistic murder
Angeline's discovery was shocking to the people of Bali. The boy who was reportedly missing
and kidnapped turned out to be killed by Margareta, his own adoptive mother.
According to the police who picked up Angeline's body, he found a wound in the neck that had
scarred scars. Allegedly, Angeline was snared with a rope. The police also found many bruises
on the body of the second grade student of SDN 12 Sanur.
Not only that, Angeline's head also hit the floor and wall. This violent collision is thought to
cause Angeline to die. After being killed, Angeline's body was even abused.
The discovery of Angeline's body was followed by the determination of a murder suspect. The
first suspect named by the police as a suspect is Margareta's domestic servant, Agus Tae Hamda
May.
When the murder occurred, Agus only worked with Margareta for one week. Determination of
the suspect was only known on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. In the pre-reconstruction of the
incident, revealed Agus killed Angeline.
Agus killed Angeline in the 7th scene by banging Angeline's head against the wall and floor
many times. Agus also strangled Angeline's neck with his hand until the poor boy's body was
limp.
When Angeline was helpless, Agus was asked to rape Angeline. But Agus refused. After
Angeline died, he immediately buried him with Angeline's favorite doll. To the police, Agus
claimed that he did not commit his own heinous murder. He was told by his employer,
Margereta. Agus's statement was used as a basis for making Margareta the second suspect.
Initially, Margareta was appointed as the perpetrator of Angeline's persecution. Only later
became the suspect of Angeline's murder. In the trial, it was revealed that Margareta was the
main perpetrator of the murder.

• Court sentences
The trial of Angeline's murder case went very hard and lasted four months. Besides being
suspected of cheating practices in the panel of judges, there were also games in the police. The
trial which was initially chaired by Chief Judges I Gede Ketut Wanugraha, Made Sukreni, and
Ahmad Patent Silly was taken to Ambon. The reason is because the trial took place slowly and
protracted.

Analysis

Based on the case above, both Margaret and Agus were included committing a crime
of premeditated murder (moord). Both of them was being charged under article 340 of
the Criminal Code concerning premeditated murder. Their action also made them
entangled into article 342 of Criminal Code about committing acts to violence against
children. In another case, Agus also included in article 55 of the Criminal Code
because of committing the criminal act because he was ordered by his employer. In
our opinion, a killer is more cruel anything. Margaret and Agus must get the
appropriate sanction because their action is very ruthless and inhumane. Even though
Angeline wasn’t Margaret biological children, she shouldn’t be treated like an animal.
She was just a little girl who also have a right to live. If there is anyone who wants to
adopt some child, give someone who is really want to be a good parents and will taking
care of the children.
