Dear friend,

My name is Angela Izgrev Martinez. I was born on 20th march 1992, so I

am 18 years old and I go to IES Antoni Maura high school (11th grade). I
am from Madrid but I have lived in Mallorca (Palma) since I was three
years. I live in a block of flats near the center of Palma. In my house we
are five people my father her wife and her two daughters. We also have a
dog. His name is Tin. For me, my step sisters are my real sisters. In my
high school there are many different people and different cultures too.

Mallorca has a mild climate. It is a small

island and there are many ports. I think that it has a population of
700.000 people. In summer holidays the tourists go here for
swimming, surf, sleep, go to the party, and because it is very
pretty island. It has mountains water streams, beaches and a
variety of flora and fauna, culture, gastronomy, etc, and for this
reason there is a lot of tourism here in Mallorca.
The 40% of the tourists visit our area and say
that it is very pretty and it has and wonderful
landscape. But personally, I think that the
shopkeepers but very expensive prices! I don´t
have a favourite place because I go to many
places for example, Plaza España (everyone met us here to go to different
places), Manacor, the park, my house our friends house…

My hobbies and interests are playing football and basketball,

playing the playstation. I also like going to the gym, going
running at the beach, reading books and comics, listening to
music, surfing the internet (facebook, take the photos, news,
etc.) drawing and specially animals. I love comics and Japan because for me
Japan is more extraordinary than Spain or other countries, so I am learning
Japanese. I don´t have any favourite songs because I like all of them. Also I like
playing Wii and Playstation. I have always played since I was five years old. I
am reading two books `Madame Bovary´ and `El silencio de Maria´. They are
very interesting!

At the moment I am studying 11th grade. I repeated this year because I am lazy, but this year I
am studying very much. This month I have many birthdays, for this reason I have to buy many
things for everybody. There are seven birthdays. This weekend I will go the disco Diamonds to
celebrate one birthday but in the morning I will go to a friend´s house because it is her birthday.

I want to study in the University of Madrid because I want to be a vet. I think that this year can
get great marks. In January my class and I will go to Madrid to learn about history, literature
and art.
