ABSTRACT

A cookie is a baked or cooked food that is small, flat and sweet. Cookies or biscuits may be
mass-produced in factories, made in small bakeries or homemade. Factory-made cookies are
sold in grocery stores, convenience stores and vending machines. Fresh-baked cookies are
sold at bakeries and coffeehouses, with the latter ranging from small business-sized
establishments to multinational corporations . Cookie variants include sandwich biscuits,
such as custard creams, Bourbons and Oreos, with marshmallow or jam filling and
sometimes dipped in chocolate or another sweet coating. Cookies are often served with
beverages such as milk, coffee or tea. In this project the researcher will discuss about the
history of cookies. The researcher will also discuss the list of companies which manufacture
cookies i.e both the domestic and the foreign companies. The economic and the legal
analysis of the cookie will be discussed. Also the macro and micro aspect of the cookie will
be discussed in this project. The researcher will even discuss the various classification pf the
cookies. Various economic aspects such as national income, employment, import and export
of goods and services, production, consumption, manufacture, total investment will also be
mentioned in this project.
SYNOPSIS
TITLE OF THE PROJECT:

Economic and Legal analysis of cookies

INTODUCTION

Cookie, primarily in the United States, any of various small sweet cakes, either flat or
slightly raised, cut from rolled dough, dropped from a spoon, cut into pieces after baking, or
curled with a special iron. In Scotland the term cookie denotes a small, plain bun. Probably
the most popular cookies in the United States are those that are based on a simple dough
of flour, butter, sugar, and egg, to which a variety of flavouring and texturizing ingredients,
such as chocolate chips, oatmeal, raisins, or peanut butter, may be added. More delicate,
decorative, or exotically flavoured cookies, such as macaroons, fruited pastries, and
gingerbread men, are traditionally associated with baking done for holidays, particularly
Christmas.

AIM, OBJECT AND PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT:


The aim of this project is to do the legal and economic analysis of the cookies by mainly
stressing on the activities in and around the cookie manufacture and production.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PROJECT:


Cookies are the most preferred snack either in the morning or as a combination with milk,
tea, or coffee. It is preferred by all age groups ,by children, adults or by old aged people.
The significance of this project is to analysis the economic, legal, micro, and macro aspect of
this most preferred product.

SCOPE OF THIS PROJECT:


Jurisdiction – This project is limited to Boundaries of India.

 Whether to what extent the cookie Industry is contributing to the Indian Economy.
 Whether there are any problem and issues relating to the cookie industry in india

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:
The Doctrinal Method of Research has been followed to do this project. The researcher is
using critical ,descriptive and analytical and historical research.

Research is secondary type which includes theoretical description of the subject which can be
taken from books, journal, magazines and other online sources.

DATA COLLECTION:

The data collection is mostly going to be secondary for this project.

CONCLUSION:
The researcher has given the brief summary of the entire project i.e economic and legal
analysis of cookies.
