Viewing the Most Voting Method in Legislative Member
Election Contestation

First of all, let’s thank God, the Almighty who has been giving us His mercy and blessings till we
can attend this meeting without any obstacle in this good place and time.
Secondly, May Sholawat and Salam always be with our Prophet Muhammad Pease be Upon Him,
who has guided us from the darkness to the lightness in the world as well as in the next world.
Standing in front of you all, I would like to present my speech under the title of Viewing the Most
Voting Method in Legislative Member Election Constentation
There are various political party orientations, among them in order to become legislative members,
then executives (regional heads), as well as to enjoy it, to have fun while expanding friendship.
And all of that is fine, nothing is wrong. The right of each person to make his choice when entering
into the area of practical politics. Anyway, just like it.
If for the legislature, the path is the Legislative Election. And at this time the registration has been
opened and the stages are still rolling to fight in the 2019 Legislative election. All legislative
candidates are busy handling the voting requirements such as medical tests, Police Records, a
certificate from the District Court in connection with the freedom from criminal acts and other
letters.
Candidates come from different backgrounds, and reportedly several ministers will also fight.
Someone who advances to become a candidate must have charisma or popularity. It has a wide
and capable network, and has enough finance for socialization and movement in the field. Not for
money politic but political costs. At least one of the three factors above must exist. If there are all
three, it will be very good and the chances are great to win. If there aren't any, it's good to sleep
sweetly at home.
Not being able to insist on the lust expressed. The competition of legislative candidates is very
tight, both in internal parties and among other political parties. Moreover, the sound calculation
will be different from yesterday's. If it only depends on luck, it seems that it will be difficult and
potentially fail to become a legislative member.
If in the past the legislative elections used the serial number determined by the internal party, in
the Legislative Election some recent periods have changed, namely with the most votes. These two
system differences will certainly produce different quality of MPs.
When still using the serial number method, of course the political party concerned has determined
its serial number with such a calculation, such as personality, influence in the middle of society,
intelligence, progress of mindset, human resources and various other things that are considered to
be able to boost the results of votes and pass to parliamentary chair.
While at present, the most votes method is considered to be able to produce parliament members
who are less reliable. The reason is, with the most voting method, it will only open a great
opportunity for those who have strong financial capacity to "buy" the vote and finance the
campaign, even though the person does not have the capacity to become a parliamentary member
With the amount of financial capital that is owned, then he will be able and willing to pay clear
costs, not least to be able to gather the masses and ask for support, which of course will also provide
feedback in the form of compensation for goods or pieces of rupiah paper. Cases like this are no
longer a secret, or in other words they have become public secrets.
This is indeed a dilemma for those legislative candidates whose lives are mediocre, but have the
human resources and capabilities and can be relied on to become a parliamentary member.
Because, the financial limitations will reduce the opportunity to be able to pass to the council
building. Why ?, because people now are more likely to accept money or rewards in using their
voting rights, rather than thinking about the quality of candidates who will represent their votes in
parliament for the next 5 years.
Speaking of the quality of parliamentarians, especially in the regions, we will find it very easy to
find a parliament member who often does not understand his main duties and functions in real
terms, except only to say that his duties are Controling, Budgeting and Legislation, without being
able to describe the true meaning of it. Not to mention when you have to accommodate the
aspirations of the community.
At the last, The Government must reevaluate the Meeting and Legislation regarding the majority
vote method in the implementation of Legislative or Pileg Member Elections.
That’s all my speech, may what I have delivered be useful in our life in this world and here after.
If you found many mistakes in my speech please forgive me.
