My strategy when I play golf is try to hit the ball with whatever club is suggested by the

club he used. And to the frustration of real golfers, I rarely keep score.

Over the last several months I have been meeting with a small
group of men who are concerned with the lives of these kids when
they get out of the facilities. Many do not have a good Christian
influence and go back to their old lifestyle. There is a real need
for Christian men to mentor these youth. Donnavan Karber for-
mally of Youth Horizons and now of Christian Association of
Youth Mentoring provided mentor minister training for several of
us in early October. If you would be interested in hearing about
how you can make a difference in one of these kids’ lives please
let me know.

Evangelism Response Center

Loren Phippen , Evangelism Director

I have recently been trained and certified as a facilitator for the Evangelism Response Center. The ERC is responsible for handling thousands of phone calls
from people who have spiritual questions and interest in knowing more about Christ.

The ERC receives the phone call on one of their 800 numbers and transfers it to a logged on telephone encourager (TE). The TE answers questions and leads
the conversation to the Gospel and many of these lead to people praying to receive Christ. You can log on to the system any time that is convenient for you.
Please contact Loren at HOKSBA if you have an interest in sharing God’s love through this ministry.
