With reference to letter no 1 cited above ,it is brought to your kind notice that, the
agency BSCPL Infrastructure Ltd, Hyderabad had submitted a drawing for construction of
Major Bridge on Nallamada drain at K.M 7.300 (CH 170+915), for scrutiny so as to execute
the construction of Major Bridge. During the scrutiny of the drawing it is noticed that the clear
vent way provided for the drain is only 105 Mtrs. as against to 195.80 Mtrs. (with center to
center of the bank). It is further submits that as per the recommendations of the expert
committee on Nallamada drain all the C.M & C.D works should be constructed for a
discharge of 500 C Value in Ryvies formula i.e. for phase-II improvement of Nallamada drain.
The hydraulic particulars for phase-II improvement were also supplied to the agency for
designing the bridge on Nallamada drain. Keeping in view of insufficient vent way adopted in
the drawing for Major bridge on Nallamada drain at K.M 7.300 (CH 170+915), it is
recommended to revise and resubmit the drawing with suitable vent way for phase-II bed
width of Nallamada drain. This is submitted for favor of information and to take further
necessary action.
