Development and Action Society (AHSAS-PK)

1. As PROGRAM MANAGER, I managed the overall functions of program side of


the organization, prepared project proposals, conducted seminars, workshops,
trainings and events, held/ attended meetings with stakeholders, partners and
donors, wrote activity reports and corresponded with all contacts in the province
and at national level.

2. As ADVOCACY AND COMMUNICATION OFFICER, (Supporting Local


Government System through Citizens' Engagement Project of CVP funded
by USAID) I planned and executed advocacy events at provincial and district
level in 12 districts of Balochistan, held meetings with political activists, lawyers,
government officials and parliamentarians and other stakeholders. Prepared
reports, issued statements and releases, designed and developed IEC materials on
local government system.

3. As PROJECT MANAGER, (Supporting Women CNIC Registration


Campaign) Gender Equity Program of Aurat Foundation funded by USAID,
I managed the project activities with the help of project and field staff to achieve
the physical target of registering 9397 women for CNIC in district Harnai.
Conducted trainings for project staff and prepared periodic reports.

4. As PROJECT COORDINATOR (SAAF MAHOL) Solid Waste Management


Project funded by One UN Joint Program on Environment, I coordinated the
project activities, conducted trainings and wrote periodic and final project reports.

March 2002 to May 2010 Pak Public Development Society (PPDS)

1. As PROGRAM MANAGER, (Democratic Governance Program Free and Fair


Election Network) I acted as focal person for all FAFEN related activities in
three National Assembly Constituencies; NA 268 Mastung-Kalat, NA 269
Khuzdar and NA 270 Lasbela Awaran.
The Program consisted of Constituency Relations, Governance Monitoring and
Political and Electoral Violence Monitoring components. The program was
funded by The Asia Foundation..

2. ADMINISTRATION OFFICER Pak Public Development Society

3. As PROJECT MANAGER (Adult and Youth Literacy Project, under Education


Sector Reforms Assistance Program USAID Funded, Project of The Asia
Foundation), I trained 300 teachers in adult education methodologies with the
help of master trainers, established 300 literacy centers in Kech District of
Baluchistan and enrolled more than 6000 male and female adults and youth at the
literacy centers.

4. As TEAM LEADER (Quetta Katchi Abadies Environmental Management


Program), I lead a team of professionals for raising awareness among the
residents of 8 slum-dwellings of Quetta on environmental pollution, health and
hygiene and better sanitation practices. A physical target of constructing 4000
running feet of underground low cost sewerage line and 600 household pour flush
latrines was completed with the help of project staff in respective communities.

5. As PROGRAM COORDINATOR, I coordinated all the field activities of PPDS


and represented it on various forums.

Jun 8, 1999- Jan 31, 2002 Human Rights Commission of Pakistan

1. As BALOCHISTAN CHAPTER COORDINATOR I;


o Managed the provincial/ chapter office in Balochistan.
o Kept the personal records of office staff, HRCP members and
representatives of HRCP at district level.
o Coordinated the activities of HRCP at Provincial level with the head office
and other chapter offices, special task force offices, the members and
District representatives.
o Managed for and held several seminars, workshops, consultations,
demonstrations, rallies and discussions on human rights across the
province.
o Conducted several fact findings and investigations in the cases of human
rights violations.
o Conducted a fact finding survey of drought affected Districts of
Baluchistan.
o Work on communication strategy development, coordinate with media and
prepare and issue press releases.
o Provide material for monthly Journal of HRCP “Jehd e Haq” collected
from district representatives.
o Media monitoring of human rights violations in Baluchistan province.

2. As COORDINATOR CORE GROUPS I;


 Established/ organized core-group activists in 22 districts
of Balochistan to mobilize people to raise voices for their rights.
 Coordinated the activities of core-groups in Baluchistan,
suggested appropriate activities to those groups and participated in several
activities of the groups.
 Held several capacity building sessions for core-group
coordinators.

3. As PRISON STAFF TRAINER (Vulnerable Prisoners project of HRCP, Penal


Reforms International and AGHS Legal Aid Cell, I Conducted 8 prison-based
training workshops for prison staff on good prison management and the human
rights of the prisoners in Balochistan.
