Uk film festival competition

According to The UK Film Festival (no date known or available): "The UK Film Festival aims to
champion great films but in particular is seeking work from those filmmakers who might not yet
have had the chance for a prestigious public screening of their work. Screening in the heart of
London, we celebrate the cultural diversity of films made in the UK and welcome films from all over
the World. Within 5 years UKFF has established a tradition of promoting films that later have gone
onto to be Oscar nominees and winners. We have also connected new filmmakers to industry
including television exposure by leading British broadcaster, Channel 4." "Selected Filmmakers will
be competing for the UK Film Festival Edgeware Awards in the categories of, Best Short Film, Best
British Short, Best Feature Film, Best Feature Documentary, Best Short Documentary, Best Music
Video, Best Animation and Best Student Film; as well as various special awards including the
Edgeware Special Jury Prize.

The winners will be announced at the end of the festival screenings. The Edgeware Grand Prix is the
largest Cash Prize in the UK (for Short Film)" This gives some back ground to the "UK Film festival"
and the competition itself. The first paragraph is some information on their mission as an
organisation and how they seek to promote filmmakers who have not had the chance to make their
work known to wide audiences and allows for a prestigious screening to show these filmmakers
skills. The second paragraph gives some insight into the competition itself as it talks about the prizes
involved and the people the competition is running through for the prizes as well as the categories.

The website does not say a lot more about the competition other than what I have included above
as it is mainly to give filmmakers who are not recognised the chance to be and that seems to be the
main message about the competition. Dates and deadlines There is an "Early bird" deadline for April
16th, a regular deadline for July 2, a late deadline for August 6th, an extended deadline for August
27th and a fast track late submission for September 16th. If I enter, I will enter the regular deadline
for July 2nd Categories available and what I would enter for I could either enter the "Best British
Short Film", "Best International Short Film" or "Best Student film" category as my project will fit into
any of those three categories.

Target audience
My production is aimed at people aged 15+ as it will display themes and messages that require a
certain understanding and knowledge. As my narrative is based on living in simulation, I am aiming
this production at people who are interested in the concept idea of a life in a simulation, the same
people who like “The Matrix” as this uses similar themes of living in a simulation. I will be using some
themes of violence, no strong language, no drugs and no sexual content, because of this my
production can have a fairly low age restriction and although I will be aiming it at 15+, the age
restriction could easily be a 12. I want to show a different perspective on life and I hope that my
target audience sees and understands the messages I am trying to get across. As my production will
go into some subjects that will make viewers think a lot, hopefully they will understand without
issue or too much confusion. I will be trying to make the production straight forward enough so that
all audiences can follow the narrative however I will be presenting some potentially complex ideas
into my production which is why my target audience will be science fiction fans as well as theorists
and fans of the idea that we live in a simulation or people who are interested in it. My production
will include simulation-based messages and story arcs so sci-fi fans are going to be my main focus for
target audience
