Ohio also has a department of education whose Superintendent of Public Instruction, Paolo
DeMaria, could be of use.
Delaware

Within these three overarching regions, Delaware has minimal scholastic leadership. When
broken into sixteen counties, equally insignificant leadership exists. Therefore, Delaware’s
Department of Education leadership would be the most effective contact.

Virginia

Eight primary regions in Virginia with minimal leadership structure. The better contact would be
someone from the Virginia Department of Education’s Office of Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Math.

West Virginia

Split into over fifty districts with no other regional segregation and leadership. West Virginia’s
Department of Education’s Teaching and Learning Assistant Superintendent, Jan Barth, could be
a useful contact. Further, District and School Advancement Senior Administrator Kathy Hypes
could also be of use.

Massachusetts

Massachusetts has adequate structure with 14 defined counties, but it has no sub-leadership
beyond the department of education. The best contact appears to be the Massachusetts
Department of Education’s Center for Instructional Support.
North Carolina

North Carolina has the following 8 districts with contacts (number corresponds to map):

2 Southeast Reginald Kenan
