Assignment Title: Q2 end of unit Chaucer values

Student Writing Goal: My writing goal is to score an 80% or higher on my mid-unit and end of unit assessments. I
would also like to improve on my writing skills and to stay on task with the prompt. Lastly I want to improve on my
vocabulary skills.

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

The purpose of this writing assignment was to go back and reflect on the minor mistakes we made. To go
over and revise how your thoughts have changed. To go back and realize there was some men out there who
actually treated women as an equal partner. Chaucer explains how love and respect are important and how
gender roles took place.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I explained how Chaucer describes love in, “The Unknown Bride” and I explained how Chaucer describes
love is blind. I put in a strong thesis with examples in each paragraph. The expectations were exceed
throughout my essay. I believe I put in a strong effort with how I structured my essay.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
An aspect I did well in was the evidence I cited from Chaucers’ tale into my essay. I also had a strong quote
that I searched up and used as my hook. My quotes and the explanations I typed for them were strong.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

I choose to go back and revise it because this is one of the assignments I actually focused on and took the
liberty to pay attention to what was going on. Reading how Chaucer defines love was romantic and strong
minded. Love and lust are things people always get confused on even in today’s generations so there was a
similarity in the eras.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
I will do what I did for this assignment, pay attention, take notes, take my time, and go over it. I put in a lot of
effort and time into this essay. For me, personally this assignment was really easy to type about. I did fairly
good on it as well.
To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
I did really well in regarding my goal because I scored higher than my expectations. I also had a strong
vocabulary; I tried a more advance structure.
