WEEK 8 UFL NOTES: ‘PLAYOFF’ PUSH CONTINUES AS TEAMS FACE
MUST-WIN GAMES IN RACE FOR CHAMPIONSHIP GAME BERTH
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – JACKSONVILLE, FL – Tuesday, November 2, 2010 – The United
Football League season heads into Week 8 with a playoff mentality and an extra buzz around the
upcoming games. Every game is now critical to a team’s title aspirations – a win can go a long way
to advancing to the 2010 Championship Game in Omaha, NE, but a loss could be devastating, even
fatal.

While there are no playoffs before the UFL grand finale, these final six regular season games sure
have a playoff feel about them.

What’s all the fuss about? Check out the new UFL sizzle reel to find out:

With the Las Vegas Locomotives having clinched a spot in the Championship Game on Saturday,
November 27 (11am PDT kickoff / 12pm EDT Versus, live) at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha,
Nebraska, the rest of the league is fighting for that coveted second spot in the UFL title game. The
Omaha Nighthawks (3-2), Florida Tuskers (2-3), Hartford Colonials (2-4) and Sacramento Mountain
Lions (2-4) all are precariously separated by just one and a half games with three weeks to go.

Tickets for the UFL Championship Game will go on general sale on November 9 – visit www.UFL-
Football.com for details.

The first postseason-type game in Week 8 will be on Friday at 8pm Eastern at the Florida Citrus
Bowl, as the third placed Tuskers play host to the second placed Nighthawks. This will be the first-
ever meeting between the two franchises, and the stakes are very high. A Nighthawks victory would
put them in the driver's seat for the second and final spot in the Championship Game, while the
Tuskers can do themselves a big favor by winning for the first time at home this season and putting
themselves in a tie for second place.

HDNet will have the live broadcast of the crucial game, with Kenny Rice (play-by-play), Paul Maguire
(analyst), Ron Kruck and Paul Crane (sideline) bringing the action to a national audience, beginning
with the pre-game show at 7.30pm Eastern. The game, pregame show and post game press
conference will all stream live on UFL-Football.com.

On Saturday at 8pm Pacific (11 p.m. Eastern), the Mountain Lions will look to beat the Las Vegas
Locos for the first time in franchise history in a game that will make or break Sacramento's season.
A win, and the Mountain Lions stay in contention for the second spot in the Championship Game. A
loss, and the Mountain Lions will be going home for Thanksgiving. Playoff football!

Join Craig Minervini (play-by-play), Doug Flutie (analyst), Ryan Nece and Damon Hack (sideline) for
the live broadcast of Saturday's key contest on Versus and of course the game and post game press
conference streamed live on UFL-Football.com.

The Hartford Colonials have the league's Week 8 bye.

UFL FINDING MORE LOVE IN THE MEDIA

There is no doubt the United Football League is finding its niche in the world of American
professional sports. The latest proof of this is a quote from Sports Illustrated senior writer and
‘Monday Morning Quarterback’ author Peter King about the league on an ESPN Radio show in
Hartford:

“I certainly hope that regardless of what happens either with the NFL next year, with the strike,
with the lockout, with whatever you want to call it, I would love to see the UFL become a fixture,”
said King.
