BEYOND BORDERS: A PRAISE

REPORT
From April 8th until the 29th of the year 2018, a team of eight leaders from
4 countries (Philippines, Pakistan, Vietnam, India) went out of their comfort
zones to set out for a life-transforming time of ministry in Floridablanca,
Pampanga. This endeavor was part of what our graduate training program
calls the Team Leadership Practicum (TLP).

L-R: Mike Duco (Team Leader, PH), Sunil Sultan (Asst. Leader, PK), Pol Galang (PH),
Daniel Pham (VN), Salam Ajitkumar Singh (IN), Eli Sardar (PK), Sunita Iqbal (PK),
Maricel Baguinit (PH)
The TLP is a three-week exposure for students of the International
Graduate School of Leadership in an actual field ministry in the context of
teamwork and in partnership with a local church.
For us, we had the blessing to partner with Evangel Christian Church. It
was also an opportunity for us to grow in our faith, as we learned to trust
God for his timely sufficient provisions and his empowerment to accomplish
the task he has called us into.
Through the gracious help and loving prayers coming from different
individuals, organizations, and churches, we were able to do and give
beyond what we can even ask or imagine.
With God’s mighty hand at work, the kindred-spirit partnerships we have
established through the course of the past few months (including our
preparation phase) have empowered us to do the following:
1 We were able to raise our targeted financial goal which covered our
housing, food, materials and essential ministry needs.
2 We were able to collate donations for our Aeta brothers and sisters which
included 100 pairs of slippers, 100 kilos of rice, 200 canned goods,
10 solar lamps, pre-owned clothes and some medicine packs.
3 We were provided with a ministry vehicle that have truly helped us
traverse the rough roads, the tricky routes, and to transport the
abovementioned donations.
4 We were privileged to serve both the local and indigenous communities
through leadership trainings, visitation, mentoring sessions, Bible
studies, evangelism and dental mission. Despite the language
barriers, the Lord multiplied our “fives loaves and two fishes”
5 We were given the blessing to take a short break (or team-time) in a nice,
relaxing place as we concluded our three-week ministry journey.
The Lord has surely been faithful in making his everyday presence so
evident as he leads us to press on in obeying his everyday commission (cf.
Matthew 28:18-20). The experience has been awe-inspiring, heart-
wrenching and humbling at the same time.
To go beyond our usual borders has been truly worth it – all because we
have an awesome God who is worthy of worship, worthy to be served, and
worthy to be proclaimed to all people from all walks of life!
Below are some snapshots of what the Lord has done in us, through us
and for us. May Jesus be praised!

sisters. What a blessing!
Here are some of the photos taken at Tagak, where they received a lesson from God’s
Word, basic medical care, new pairs of slippers and a nice haircut too!
