Subject: I disagree with recent decision re independent contractor vs employees

I completely l disagree with the Texas Workforce Commission recently approved rule to allow
practically anyone hired from a website to be classified as an independent contractor instead of
an employee. This is taking the concept of an independent way too broadly. It also enables the
owners of web-based companies make up their own rules and not have to follow the same labor
regulations of brick-and- mortar companies. It gives too great an advantage to web-base
companies Actions as broad as this need to be handled by the legislators so the benefits and
disadvantages can be publicly debated and not decided by a 2 to 1 vote by three appointees.
